The Y offers a wide variety of activities that center on helping active older adults engage their mind and body through recreational programming. Our ForeverWell Ambassadors are instrumental in achieving this goal and making a difference in the lives of our aging population throughout the Treasure Valley. Our ForeverWell Ambassadors connect people to people, people to resources, and ensure our membership continues to have a sense of belonging, feel connected to their community, as well as staying mentally and physically active. We are seeking 5-7 ForeverWell Ambassadors at each of our Branch Locations. Includes Downtown YMCA, West Boise YMCA, Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA and Caldwell YMCA.

The Welcome Center Volunteer Greeter will assist our YMCA Membership Staff in making our YMCA the most welcoming place! We are looking for volunteers to join our welcome desk in wishing everyone that walks through our doors a warm welcome and a fond farewell! This position is perfect if you have a joyful personality and enjoy helping others. Volunteer hours are flexible and available Monday-Friday. Responsibilities: •Provide general direction to where classes and programs are being held. •Greet members and answer general questions Your journey as a YMCA Volunteer starts with a phone screen by the Volunteer Coordinator. This is a general conversation to find out why you want to be a Volunteer and what areas of interest you have. This is also to ensure that we find the right volunteer opportunity to match what you are seeking! After this, you will have the following requirements to complete. This includes a standard background check and 3 references. Additionally, Child Abuse Prevention Training for Volunteers is required - which you can do from your Volunteer Registration. When all is done, you will be ready to be an official YMCA Volunteer!

Halloween is coming, You Better Run! Join us for the 2025 YMCA Halloween Run Presented By Micron - we need volunteers to help make this day as memorable as possible! Volunteer Positions available: Packet Pick Up Volunteers – Friday October 24th *Location: Bandanna Running & Walking (504 W Main Street, Boise) Be the first to wish the runners good luck. Hand out race packets, swag and answer questions about the event. Come for a two hour shift or stay the whole time! All instructions and computers will be provided, and staff members will be on site to help guide & answer questions. Volunteer Responsibilities: • Help with participant check-in and late registrations • Hand out t-shirts & swag • Assign bib numbers to participants • Learn the courses and answer questions about the maps and instructions --------------------------------------------------- Race Day Volunteers – Saturday October 25th *Location: Ann Morrison Park We are looking for volunteers for all areas of the event from the starting line to the finish line, and everything in between. Groups are welcome, some positions are limited!. Volunteer Responsibilities: • Race Day Participant Check-In and Packet Pick Up / Results • Set up and/or tear down race equipment & supplies • Course monitoring (helping direct runners where to turn along the course) • Starting Line and/or Finish Line Support - Helping participants get to their respective race groups - Giving directions to participants and parents - Handing out water bottles, medals, etc at the finish

Come be a part of an annual community tradition! Our Harrison Classic Kids Run starts at the top of Harrison Blvd at Good St. and is a 1 mile run down Harrison Blvd to the Finish line in front of McAuley Park. 2025 marks the 40th year of this beloved race, and we need volunteers to help make this day as memorable as possible! Volunteer Responsibilities: • Race Day Participant Check-In and Packet Pick Up / Results • Set up and/or tear down race equipment & supplies • Course monitoring (helping direct runners where to turn along the course) • Starting Line and/or Finish Line Support - Helping participants get to their respective race groups - Giving directions to participants and parents - Handing out water bottles, medals, etc at the finish Parking is limited in the area. We encourage you to ride bikes, carpool or walk to the event. Please be respectful of the neighbors and do not block driveways or sidewalks.

Busy Bees Engagement Specialist: This is intended to engage with the youth of KidZone in leading songs, dances, movements, games and art. Seeking those volunteers who have experience working with children aged 2 - 6. YAC Engagement Assistant: The YAC Engagement Assistant position is intended to improve youth experience in the YAC by offering more technology and facilitation support as well as another person ready to have fun with kids. The primary role of volunteers in this position are to play games with the kids, teach them how to use our technology resources, and facilitate or support staff with activities that interest the volunteer.
